Get me to the church - Pinetop's Boogiemen Add Video

Southeast London's Last Surviving Rhythm & Blues Band is available via iTunes here Pinetop's Boogiemen is an Anglo-American rhythm and blues quartet formed in London in 1986. It showcases traditional rhythm and blues with a line up of vocals, blues harp, guitar, drums, and bass. In its club-playing heyday the band featured classic blues covers, including inspirations from Magic Sam's "Westside Sound" and some distant echoes of the unique harp/guitar formula of Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. More recently, Pinetop's convenes to record original comtemporary blues and R&B compositions. This year's production is "Southeast London's Last Surviving Rhythm & Blues Band," which is the phrase by which Pinetop's was introduced on stage in London. Unlike earlier records made very quickly, Southeast London's Last Surviving Rhythm & Blues Band was carefully crafted over a year of pre and post session work spread over the US, Great Britain, and southeastern France. The record benefits from the outstanding recording talent of Marty Carlson at Barking Spider Studios, Warren, Connecticut, and the record mastering talent of Jim Chapdelane. Published on 8 May 2014
